Last night, Mr Lester, a middle-aged widower, was walking on Birmingham Street. He was holding an umbrella in his left hand and a bried case in his left. There was nobody else on the street but two men who were hiding in the side-street. One was big and had black, curly hair and the toher was thin and had a bald head.
They waited a few seconds and walked slowly and silently towards Mr Lester. The big man held Mr Lester from behind while the thin one tried to steal Mr Lester's briefcase.
Suddenly, Mr Lester pushed/hit the big one's shoulder. He, then, collided with the thin man. They, both, landed on the pavement. Mr Lester striked with his umbrella and walked, quickly, away.
The two astonished men sat on the ground. Mr Lester crossed the road towerds a door with a painted sign. Mr Lester stopped, turned, laughed and walked into Central Birmingham Karate Club.
