These shows can launch careers and inspire viewers. However, the competitive nature of these shows can also be detrimental, putting immense pressure on participants and sometimes valuing entertainment over genuine talent.
Regarding the inclusion of non-human judges, such as AI or robots, this would significantly alter my perception of these shows. Non-human judges could bring objectivity and consistency, free from human biases and emotional influences. However, they might lack the nuanced understanding and empathy that human judges bring, which are crucial in evaluating performances that often convey deep emotional and artistic expressions. Thus, while intriguing, non-human judges would change the essence of talent shows for me, potentially making them less engaging and authentic.
