The Sand Creek massacre was an event of the Indian wars versus the USA. It occurred (took place) on November the 29th, 1864.

The villages of Cheyenne and Arapaho tribes  settled on eastern plains,  were attacked by the Colorado Territory militia. (voix passive)

Colonel John Chivington and  his six hundred seventy-five horsemen  attacked the Chief Yellow Stone's Indian camp.  There were five hundred warriors, women, old men, children in this camp. (voix active)
