- Inspector Bright : « What were you doing when you heard a strange noise in the neighbourhood at 8 p.m. ? »
- Mrs Kartridge : « I was having dinner with my husband and we were watching a boring TV programme when suddenly we heard this gunshot. »
Réaction => Past Simple :
- Inspector Bright : « And what did you do ? »
- Mrs Kartridge : « Nothing ! I just stood there. I was so surprised ! »
