Dear my friend.
It’s been a long time we haven’t spoken. I miss you so much. How are you? I hope you are doing well. I know how much you love Morocco and that you would like to know more about our traditions and customs. For this reason, I am writing this e-mail to talk to you about a Moroccan wedding ceremony that I attended last week. It was my friend Khalid’s wedding. As he is the only child and son of his parents, they managed to make his wedding an exceptional and memorable one. The ceremony took place in a very big hostel in Agadir. One week before the wedding day, invitations were sent to all relatives and friends. Besides, the family of the bride and groom made all the necessary arrangements during that period. On the day of the wedding, they decorated the place with fresh flowers and an amazing lighting system to make the wedding even more special. In addition, they hired the best musical band and the best cooks in Agadir. On the wedding day, The guests arrived at the hostel in the evening. They were served with dates and milk at the doorstep. This tradition is deeply rooted in Moroccan culture. At the ceremony, women were dressed in traditional Moroccan clothes like “Kaftan” and “Takchita” whereas men wore Moroccan “Jellaba” or suits. The catering people served different traditional and non-traditional delicious dishes. After that, everybody was busy dancing, saying congratulating and taking pictures with the bride and groom. It was a moment full of happiness and love. Later, the guests gave presents to the bride and groom and wished them a happy life together.
In fact, this was one of the best wedding ceremonies I have ever attended. Everybody enjoyed it, especially because it followed the traditions and customs of Moroccan culture.
What about you? Did you ever attend any special wedding ceremony in your country? I would like to know about your wedding traditions and customs.
I am looking forward to hearing from you soon.
