Pollution is a growing problem that is damages the environnement and at a larger scale, our planet. When you see the tons of waste that a single family produces, one question comes in mind. Isn't their a way to reduce our waste to avoid unecessary pollution ?
This question was though about twenty years ago and a few ideas were suggested.
First of all, the idea of a big operation which consists of having a container for every type of waste emerged. The goal is to
carefully sort all types of household waste, except those which are not recyclable.
Then, new ways of producing new materials from what you put in those containers can be innovated. Their production would be way less polluting.
Another aspect is the use of fruits and vegetables skins to make compost. It is an amazing alternative to fertilisers to nourrish the soils.
Moreover, we all know that a class of student uses a lot of paper as draft. In order to reduce the waste, we could distribute bad photocopies that should have gone into the bin in the first place. That way they will have a short but relevant second life before being thrown for good.
Finally, it might seem obvious but make sure to switch off the light when their is no need for it, same thing with the running water.
In a nutshell, to preserve the planet, we must make an overall effort to reduce our waste and by doing so, our negative impact on the environnement.
