2) I was so fond of staying at home that they sometimes make me (J'avais besoin d'ajouter le "me" car la phrase n'avait aucun sens. ) play with other children from the neighborhood.

You can also say : ( I was so fond of staying at home that sometimes they make me play whit other kids from the neighborhood. )

3) I remember that this used to make me very uncomfortable.
