Built in Belfast in 1912, the Titanic was the world's biggest boat. It was
a magnificent ship and everybody thought that she was unsinkable.
After picking up passengers in Southampton, she went to Cherbourg, France
on April 10th. Then she made her
final stops at Queenstown, Ireland,
before starting her transatlantic journey to New York,
After 4 days of sailing, the Titanic received multiple ice warnings from
other ships. But the

crew ignored the warnings and continued
speed. At about 11:40 pm the watchmen saw an iceberg! They quickly told
the Captain to turn, but it was too late!
When she hit the iceberg, the passengers were sleeping. They were very
confused when they woke up. The crew began putting the women and children
on the lifeboats. It
took three hours for the Titanic to sink. Some
survivors say
