Bonjour,

Quand on passe du discour direct auu discours indirect,

il faut faire attention au temps :

     Discours direct                                          Discours indirect

            simple present ——---------------------> simple past ( prétérit )

           present continuous ——--------------> past continuous

           simple past ( prétérit )———----——> past perfect ( plu perfect )

                  present perfect ——— ---------—> past perfect (plu perfect )

             present perfect continuous———> past perfect continuous

                  will ——-----------------------------------—> would

                     can ——----------------------------------—> could

• " I don't speak Italian "  -----------------> She said she didn't speak Italian.

        simple present                                                 simple past ( prétérit )

• "he didn't invite his family" -----------> He said  he hadn't invited his family.

       simple past ( prétérit )                                     past perfect

Explications :

Dans les phrases au discours indiirect, on peut ajouter "that" ( mais ce n'est pas obligatoire )

She said that she didn't speak Italian.

He said  that he hadn't invited his family.
