The causes of Climate Change
In this new era (the age of industrialization), the earth is full of industries.
Millions of vehicles, aeroplanes and engines are produced every year. A lot
of artificial things have been produced and have ended up in waste
dumps. Humans produce much more waste than ever before.
Simply put, human's dependence on
artificial things, including all the things
that make us comfortable at home, has
contributed immensely to the emission of
more greenhouse gases than before.
CO2
YOU and I also produce and other greenhouse gases in a way, by the
things we use at home. Do you have some of these items in your house?
Everything humans have at home or workplace need power to work. This
power comes from burning fossil fuels and other natural sources. The
CO2
more fuels are burnt, the more are produced into the atmosphere.
This means each time your dad drives his car, or you turn on an electric
appliance, you are indirectly adding to the greenhouse gases in the
atmosphere.
But that's not all - it must also be noted that less forest cover all over the
world has resulted in less carbon absorption and storage. This is because
plants absorb carbon from the atmosphere during photosynthesis.
This is not very good, as we are all contributing to global warming and
climate change. This is a problem. We all must do something to help save
the planet.
Making a difference for the future of Planet Earth doesn't have to include
huge life changing choices!! There are so many little things we can do and
that we need to do if we want to reduce our ecological footprint !

Sagot :

1) What is the main problem mentioned in the first paragraphe?

In this new era (the age of industrialization), Humans produce much more waste than ever before.

2) Why is modern life bad for the environment ?

According to the text, modern life is bad for the environment because of the greenhouse gases we all produce.

3) What other problem does the author evoke ?

Another problem is evoked in this text : Less forest cover. This problem all over the world has resulted in less carbon absorption and storage which is not very good because he contribuate to to global warming and climate change.

4 What does the author want to do with this text and what advice does he give? He wants to inspire us changing our bad habits to save our planet by doing many little things for the environment.
