When I first started my social media accounts I made them just for fun and didn’t really think anything about it at the time. Little did I know that by creating them that I would come across people who would change my life forever. Internet friends...some people can say that "internet friends aren't real friends, and it's not safe making friends online", quite honestly, i'm sick of hearing that, for myself I have friends that I've met online, and they are there for me more often that my real life friends are, they are more understanding and less judgmental, they won't dislike you for your weight or your look, they get to met the person inside first, they met your personality rather your exterior appearance. I think that's a major issue in today's society: people are so quiet to judge others just by their appearance, or rumors they've heard. So many adolescents hate going to school because they hate being so alone, and ignored by everyone around them. It's getting tiring, but when they get home they open their laptop and go on that one website and talk to their online friends to feel better . Maybe even video chat for hours on end. Internet friends are real friends.
