I made this crossing to visit my grandmother who lives in New York. the crossing was going pretty well, I spoke with passengers so that the crossing seemed shorter to me. The atmosphere so far was pretty cool, but suddenly the boat staff alerted us to a danger. we ask for more explanation but the only responses we had were "climb aboard a lifeboat" so I did what they told me. knowing that the boat would surely sink I took with me a life jacket that remains in my suitcase, I also kept with me my friend's t-shirt which I tried to save. I still don't understand how I managed to survive...
there were still people aboard the titanic when it struck an iceberg, people were screaming but there was nothing I could do to save them ... it was awful
