Marino's ice creams are the yummiest in the world. This is huge department stores on 5th Avenue, the bull on Wall Street, gospel and red hot jazz in Harlem. Uptown, Downtown, shop till you drop, style and design, it's all the rage. It's hailing yellow cabs "Taxi!” or squeezing into a packed subway train. This is five cities in one : Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island and the
Bronx. People moving,pushing, going, always in a hurry. Stress and excitement. A veritable city, skyscrapers tickling the clouds. Elevators and electric lights. Cars and traffic jams. People and progress. Mingling and mixing.
This is so inspiring and intense you can feel it creep in your soul. This is such an exceptional and extraordinary
city that you will remember your trip all your life. one thing and its opposite. My city and yours. This is New

This text is a speech realized by Bill de Blasio in November 2013. The speech is called "New York City, the place to be". The speaker praises every aspect of New York City, as if he was in love with it. He talks about it's story (immigration), it's food (bagels, pizza, pretzels and hot dogs, ice cream), it's population (joggers, shoppers, musicians, people with style and design, travelers that are constantly moving, pushing, stressing over things, getting excited, progressing, going and hurrying, people who get mixed between each other), it's activities (work, shop, listen to music, watch a baseball match, take a yellow cab), it's landscape (skyscrapers, elevators, electric lights, subways, cabs, 5th avenue, Harlem, Central Park Uptown, Downtown, Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island and the Bronx). Overall, the idea we get from the city is amazing. He describes it almost as a utopian city: even tho it has a few flaws and hard situations, it's still the best place to be in the world. In Blasio's eyes, New York City is alive, it moves, it progresses, and it's one city you'll never forget nor want to leave. It's inspiring and intense, and feels your soul with excitement.
