1) at the end of the story, the house fall into the lake.
2) when Madeline dies, she leads Roderick into her fall to the ground and he dies in her arms.
3) as roderick and Madeline were the last two alive in the family, they extinguished the Usher line by their death.

Merci d’avance pour vos réponses.

Sagot :

The title of the story "The Fall of the House of Usher" can have three different and main meaning. The first one and the most obvious would be the fact that at the end of the story, the house fall into the lake, it's the object that fall whereas the second would be that, when Madeline dies, during her fall to the ground she leads Roderick with her, after that he dies in her arms, so the inhabitants of the house have fallen. And the last one is that, because Madeline and Roderick were the last two members alive of the Usher family, they extinguished the Usher line by their death, so it's the line that have fallen. The title can mean : that the house where Madeline and Roderick lived have fallen, here in the lake, the inhabitants of the house have fallen by their death or that the line of the Usher have fallen because there is no one left.

En espérant que c'est ce qu'il te fallait et que ce soit juste (;
