Réponse : The White Zulu is a musician and anthropologist. He was born on June 7th 1953, in Lancashire, in England under the name of Johnny Clegg. However, he moved to Rhodesia and Sputh Africa at the age of 6. He was arrested at 15 years old because he didn't respect the apartheid laws. As a musician, he made a musical partnershipwith Mchunu, a black man, and then, a band with three black musicians and three white ones, including himself. His first album, Universal Men, was released in 1979. A few years later, in 1986, he created a second inter-racial band, named Savuka. ten years after the creatin of the band, he started his solo career. He has a son, Jessee Cleg, who is also a record artist and started his career in 2008. Finally, Johnny became Officer of the Order of the British Empire in 2005. Unfortunately, he died last year, in 2019.
