2 weeks ago, we WERE HAVING dinner with my family when we HEARD The President speaking on TV. He DECIDED to close all the schools in France because of the epidemic. My sister and I WERE happy but my parents WEREN’T. We WERE SPEAKING about the event when the phone RANG. My mother ANSWERED and while she WAS DISCUSSING, my sister and I WERE DANCING !!!. The day after, we WENT to school, it WAS the last day before confinement. On the way to school, in the morning, I MET my friend. We WERE TALKING about it when we SAW another friend. During our conversation, we REALIZED it WAS our last meeting, and we WERE sad. Then after the weekend the confinement STARTED. One day, I WAS DOING my homework when I RECEIVED a message from one of my friend. She TOLD me : she WAS PLAYING in the garden when she FELL, she BROKE her leg and now she has her leg plaster ! What an unhappy confinement for her !

Prétérit pour les actions passées terminées, datées.
Prétérit be+ing : pour décrire les actions qui se déroulaient dans le passé.
( elles sont souvent coupées par un prétérit qui interrompt l'action en cours)
