Réponse :It's tomorrow night that it's all going to start. When I get home, I'll open my mailbox as usual, and I'll find a little red envelope. It'll be empty. I'll put it on the kitchen table.
The day after tomorrow night, I'll find a new red envelope in my mailbox. It will contain a black card on which will be written in red: "Toc-toc-toc", police Times New Roman, font size, twelve. At the same time, I will meet a neighbour and, showing him the letter, I will ask him if he too has received one. He'll say, "No." I will put the envelope on the kitchen table.
The next day, my mailbox will be empty, but an envelope will have been slipped under my door. The card will bear the inscription: "Surprise!" I will turn around immediately to see if anyone is behind me but there will be no one. I will close the door in two turns and put the envelope with the others on the kitchen table.
On Thursday night, there will be nothing in the mailbox, nothing under the door. I will go to bed and open my book on page fifty-one; a red envelope will fall on the sheets, making me startle. On the cardboard it will be written: "I know what you are reading now." I'll get out of bed, petrified, and inspect every nook and crany of my apartment. I won't find anything. I'll drop the box with the others and don't close my eyes at night.
By Friday morning, the envelopes will be gone. In the evening, I will be afraid to go home. I will have left a hair in balance on the handle of my door and I will find it in the same position when I return. I will find a lit candle on the coffee table in the living room, under which an envelope has been placed: "burn me." I'm not going to do it.
In the early morning, I will find a new candle lit next to an ashtray containing the rest of the burnt envelope. I'll go to the police station. I will feel like I am not being taken seriously. On the way home, taped to the mirror of my bathroom: "It's useless."
I'll run away from home and come back, a little drunk. Behind my translucent white glass window overlooking the sidewalk, I will see a still Chinese shadow in front of me. I'll go out and see her. She'll be gone.
During the night, I'll be woken up by footsteps on my stairs. Heavy, slow steps. They'll go down to my room. I'll rush to lock the door. Behind, I will perceive a heavy breath and nails will scratch the wall. I'll panic, tears will come to my eyes. I will feel completely at his mercy. I'll turn on the light, I'll beg "Who's here?" but no one will answer me. I'll stick my ear against the door. Steps will move away down the stairs and the front door will open.
I will remain locked in the room the whole night and eventually come out armed with a heavy object to defend myself.
The front door will bear the inscription: "The rest you will not know without me; you don't lose anything to wait."
Can't see any further! Despite my best efforts, it's impossible!
Tomorrow would be a past future? Today anything is possible and I will not escape it. I'm scared. I think I'm going crazy. Help me!
