I'm not going to lie to you, I saw this battle very badly, the shots of the Germans don't let me sleep, I sleep in the beach and I try to cover myself with sand so as not to be cold. I hardly eat, I spend my days wandering around the city looking for bread or food left in the houses, but walking the streets cost the lives of 3 of my friends, the Germans shot them. However, I still have hope, and I dream of you and the children every day playing in our little house in New Hampshire. According to rumors our group will not trade to get into the boats, I hope to see you again soon. I love you Jo

my love, how are you? is Jack and Emilie doing okay? how’s life on the war? i am not going to lie to you, this war was really bad and horrific.

At night when i try to sleep i cannot because the people from Germany shoot. I sleep on the beach and i try to cover myself with the sand of the beach to somewhat feel more warm because it is so cold. I hardly eat anymore, i spend my days wandering around the city for some bread or some food that other people don’t want to eat, but life on the streets is scary..walking on the streets cost the lifes of three of my friends, the people from Germany shot them to death.

however, i still have hope and i dream of you and our children playing in our little house in New Hampshire every night when i close my eyes and sleep takes me.

According to the rumors..our group will not trade to get into the boats. I hope to see you again, i love you.
