my dear wife.
it's been exactly three months since I saw your beautiful face. I miss your presence very much and I feel a great emptiness.


Here in Dunkirk life is very hard because of the Nazis who surrounded us they left us no way out except the sea their plane keeps bombing us and many of us are killed. Now when I go in the morning to look for my food I see many bodies scattered on the beach and others floating in the sea.

We are all malnourished because there is not enough food some of us steal the clothes of the soldiers dead others plunges into the water hoping that the current would bring them back to England.
Yesterday 3 Nazi planes bombed everything that moves in the beach several of my companions lost their lives fortunately for me I was not in the scene of the attack.
I hope British forces will save us or this war will end so that I can finally go home and see my wife and family again.
