He reveals that he has always been a wizard, just like his parents were, actually killed by Voldemort When he arrives at Hogwarts Express he meets Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger who becomes after his best friends. When they arrive at Hogwarts the students have left for different houses and Harry finds himself in the Gryffindor house with Ron and Hermione. Later that year, Harry Ron and Hermione discover that a
three-headed dog is housed within the castle itself and keeps something under a hatch. They understand that the precious object hidden under the hatch is a philosopher's stone which has the power to offer immortality. So Harry and his friends try to take a chance by going for the stone. They have to face many obstacles and finally when Harry gets there he sees Professor Quirrell, Harry is terrified Harry is terrified when Quirrell unrolls the purple turban he wears on his head: the headgear actually hides Voldemort's face , formed at the back of Quirrell's skull the black mage had borrowed the professor's body to get closer to the hidden stone and to more easily transmit his orders to him. Harry manages to retrieve the stone thanks to the mirror. Voldemort then orders Quirrell to kill Harry but Dumbledore intervenes
