Réponse : Slt, voici une "short story" commençant avec le début imposé de ton exercice.
C'est a peu près 465 mots:
It was dark when I entered the house. A terrible creaking sound emitted from the door that I pushed open. Carefully, I closed the door behind me, making sure to double check that I had closed it and locked it properly - I had heard a lot about the recent burglaries in the village and I didn’t want to be the next victim, especially since I lived in a hose easily accessible. I turned the lights on and looked around, making sure everything was in their place. Relaxing a little, I rolled my shoulders and headed towards the bathroom, making sure to put away my coat and bag in their compartments in the living room.
Entering the bathroom, switching the lights on, getting unclothed, these daily mouvements were the only reason I hadn’t fainted right here, on my bathroom floor, due to exhaustion. I turned on the shower, letting the warm water rain on my body and relaxing it.
The first time I heard it was when I was humming a song I’d recently heard on the radio, all while massaging my hair clean with my shampoo. But I didn’t dwell on it, I thought I was hallucinating, and that the paranoia was finally getting to me. So i continued showering, wincing when I tried getting my towel placed on the top shelf, forcing me to raise my bad arm pretty high.
The second time I heard it was when I almost fell reaching for that bloody towel. But I once again thought i was merely hallucinating. However, when I heard that jingling sound against my front door once again while putting on cream on my face, I decided to check it out.
Clutching my towel close to my body, I approached the front door while making sure I had my phone in my right hand, ready to press on the emergency number on, and my long and sturdy umbrella in my left hand. It was it in these kind of moments that I thanked god for being ambidextrous…As I neared the door, the jingling sound intensified and I tried looking slyly from the window who was making the sound. I thought my heart had stopped when I spotted a figure, crouching against my door, trying to force my front door open. I unconsciously back tracked a few steps, still in a daze. Blinking away my fear, I clutched my phone harder trying to press on the emergency button when the font door was forcibly pushed open, and the figure entered, revealing…my sister?
After a lot of yelling, crying, and hugging, I finally understood what my sister was saying: when I had doubled check to lock my door earlier, I had broken the key lock, thus explaining my sister’s struggle interring to open the door.
