In the photo on the left that dates from 1980 I can see the New York subway that is covered with graffiti, I can also see a policeman standing near the door.
On the right photo from 2010 I can see a clean subway with passengers reading a book or looking at their phones.
The 1980 photo shows a subway full of graffiti unlike the 2010 photo.
