Shakespeare died in 1616 and the theater , he worked in was demolished in 1644
The original Globe Theatre was built in 1599 when William Shakespeare was 35 years old . He was already a professional actor. Theaters were not considered respectable , and it is not legal to make room in the city of London. So theater was built across the Thames, south of the city. The Globe , like other theaters at the time, was a circle. The center was open to the sky , because there were no lights in the theater plays were presented in the day because they needed daylight. The Globe presented parts until the Puritan government closed all the theaters in 1642. The Globe was demolished and forgotten until the American actor San Wanamaker dreamed of rebuilding the famous theaters in the 1970s . He died before its opening in 1997
